Whether you’re craving an indulgent breakfast or a hearty dinner, Kowloon Café’s offerings promise satisfaction with every bite.

The menu is a treasure trove of Hong Kong favorites. Their Kowloon French Toast is a standout—golden, perfectly crisp on the outside, with a rich, buttery softness inside, often accompanied by the nostalgic sweetness of condensed milk or peanut butter. For those seeking a more savory delight, the Sizzling Steak in Kowloon Sauce explodes with bold flavors, pairing tender steak with a uniquely tangy and slightly sweet sauce that’s impossible to resist.

Local regulars rave about the Beef Chow Fun, featuring silky flat noodles stir-fried with tender beef slices and an umami-packed soy-based sauce. The Kowloon Fried Rice, touched with a subtle spice kick, is another crowd favorite, delivering a perfect harmony of smoky wok hei and hearty ingredients. Don’t miss the Baked Pork Chop Rice or the Baked Mussels, which balance creaminess with a savory crust in a way that transports you straight to the bustling streets of Hong Kong.

For a light yet satisfying sip, their Hong Kong Style Tea offers a fragrant balance of robust black tea and creamy milk—comfort in a cup that perfectly complements the meal. The smoothie selection is both refreshing and adventurous, from mango and papaya to unique flavors like taro and almond, catering to a wide range of palates.

Customers frequently mention the impeccable speed of service alongside dishes arriving piping hot to the table. Cherri Chan shares, “First time, love the vibe and food. French toast was delicious, fake shark fin soup was also on point. Their red bean ube is the best I’ve tried! Service was fast, food was hot!” This sentiment echoes throughout—the perfect blend of quick, attentive service with heartfelt authenticity.

Lucy P. highlights the generosity of portions and the quality of the baked spaghetti with chicken, praising the garlic sauce as "great" and the overall experience as unexpectedly delightful. Meanwhile, the salt and pepper squid—crispy yet tender—is a frequent recommendation, alongside comforting staples like hot & sour soup and classic club sandwiches.

What really makes Kowloon Café resonate is its ability to embody the nostalgic flavors of Hong Kong’s street-side cafés, while adapting to Brooklyn’s diverse palette. Olivia L celebrates this connection calling it “Childhood comfort food,” praising the breakfast combos for being perfectly balanced—hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor, especially the mixed sauce noodles and French toast.

While some dishes might have room for enhancement, as pointed out by diners appreciating the varied menu and reasonable prices, the overall experience is enriching and satisfying. It's an approachable destination for anyone eager to explore authentic Hong Kong flavors without leaving New York.

First time, love the vibe and food. French toast was delicious, fake shark fin soup was also on point. Their red bean ube is the best I’ve tried! Will come back to try other food! Service was fast, food was hot!

After reading a couple of reviews I was hesitant but honestly the food was great. Wings are a must. I got the baked spaguetti with chicken. Portions are good and the garlic sauce is great! Price is not expensive and the service is quick.

I'd say the kowloon soup is good. I liked the salt/pepper squid and the pork and vegetables. They're 1 step off from good for me. Overall, price wise and menu options, I love it.

Childhood comfort food. Breakfast combos are always hot, tasty, and fresh. Recommend their noodles with mix sauce and french toast!

Stereotypical Hong Kong style place with reasonable prices in today’s economy. Place is decent sized but packs quickly during lunch and dinner service. We ordered: 1) chicken gizzard- decent but lacking flavor and chewy. I’ve had better 2) fried chicken skin- not bad oily 3) Kowloon fried rice- very good and kind of spicy 4) stir string beans- decent 5) peanut butter toast with condense milk- okay 6) pork belly with preserved veggies- really good and done well 7) Chinese cheng fan assortment- nice and bouncy noodles 8) beef and egg chow fun- good “wok hei” on the noodles and good flavor. Best dish 9) oyster pancake- oyster didn’t taste fresh and pancake could have been cooked longer 10) sautéed eggplant garlic sauce- flavorful and not too salty 11) Portuguese chicken spaghetti- second best dish with authentic flavor Will definitely stop by again to try out the rest of the menu. The servers were typical HK waiters- so don’t expect exceptional customer service just above being rude- but it’s understandable.
